Twitter is burning down, and it looks like it might shut down soon. So I am starting this newsletter.
The goal is to replace weekly-to-monthly tweets by weekly-to-monthly posts. In these posts, I will continue sharing new courseware and software. I will also continue sharing updates about the state of the US labor market, and about my research.
Compared to what Twitter offered, I am also hoping that the newsletter-with-comments will be more user-friendly (no need to check your timeline), more joyful (no risk of doom-scrolling or stumbling upon rage-inducing tweets), and more academic (longer format and smaller audience).
Below I try to answer a few questions that anyone might have before signing up.
Why subscribe?
Subscribe to get access to the newsletter. You won’t have to worry about missing anything: every new edition of the newsletter goes directly to your inbox.
How frequent is this newsletter?
The aim is to share somewhere-between-weekly-and-monthly updates about research and new courseware & software. You will never receive more than one email per week.
Why not social media?
This is an attempt to replace social media by something that is more user-friendly, more peaceful, and a bit more academic—in the joyful sense of the term.
How costly is this?
This is free. You can unsubscribe at any time.
